Gregory F. Ulmishek is PhD in Geology and Mineralogy; expert in hydrocarbon fields exploration and prospecting. He actively participated in the works of the Argonne National Laboratory, and later in U.S. Geological Survey he was involved in solving a wide range of problems related to the theory and practice of oil exploration and production. In successful cooperation with Russian geological agencies, he supervised the area of methodological support of regional and exploration works for oil and gas in different regions. In recent years, Gregory has published a number of works devoted to substantiation of resource potential of unconventional hydrocarbon sources in Russia and worldwide. He was involved in the studies of the fields in Volga-Urals Province (Russia). Author and co-author of more than 90 published works.
